The four-day Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada professional golf tournament has turned into a week-long celebration of golf. June 12th-18th are the dates for the second annual GolfBC Championship taking place at Gallagher’s Canyon in Kelowna. Organizers released the Schedule of Events that includes a number of special events throughout the community leading up to the actual tournament that features 156 rising stars from around the world, running June 15th-18th.

A first ever for the Mackenzie Tour is the GolfBC Championship Pickleball Tournament for teams of Mackenzie Tour Players, to be played at the Parkinson Recreation Centre, and created to help promote the Canadian Pickleball Championships hosted by Pickleball Kelowna.

A special pre-tournament highlight will take place on Wednesday June 14th with the first Long Drive Challenge open to anyone who can hit the ball a long distance. Joining in the fun will be current and former NHL players and  other local sports celebrities. Mackenzie Tour Pros will help set the pace. A special guest appearance by world champion long driver Jamie Sadlowski will be a special treat for golf fans.  Immediately following the challenge will be the GolfBC Championship Tee-Off Party in the Clubhouse lounge and restaurant.
